Turkmenistan and Pakistan have agreed to enhance cooperation in digital connectivity and fiber optic link

Islamabad (September 23, 2020): The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Pakistan, His Excellency, Mr. Atadjan Movlamov called on Chairman PTA, Maj General Amir Azeem Bajwa (R) at PTA Headquarters, Islamabad.

The Ambassador and Chairman PTA discussed matters of mutual interest including the proposed fiber optic link between Turkmenistan and Pakistan with reference to Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline project. Chairman PTA emphasized Pakistan’s geostrategic location which has made it a principal gateway to the Central Asian Republics for digital connectivity.

The Ambassador and Chairman PTA agreed to have enhanced cooperation in digital connectivity initiatives, and to continue discussions on topics of mutual interest and benefit.
